Keeping Your Dog Warm: SnuggleSafe Heat Pad

Do you have the kind of dog that wants to go with you everywhere?  We can help you think of ways to say YES to that request!  You’ll enjoy your pup’s company and your dog will have a more interesting life.

The SnuggleSafe is a warming device we discovered during agility training with Sage.  Dogs that need to wait in crates, or in the car, can have a warm area to wait for several hours in cold conditions.

As we go places – to run errands, visit friends, etc. – we always consider – can a dog (or dogs) come along?  The more experience the dogs get, the better behaved they get, and the opportunities continue to increase.

Our rule of thumb for waiting-in-the-car comfort is 40-75 degrees, providing sun in the lower range and shade in the upper.  The SnuggleSafe enables us to increase the range comfortably into colder temps.

Just warm each SnuggleSafe in the microwave for 5-7 minutes (depending on how strong your microwave is).  Tuck it into the pad it’s sold with, or into a towel or pillow.  It will stay warm for hours.

The product is marketed for general comfort around the house, too – perhaps for an older dog, or a dog with sore muscles.

Try one (or a few) for your dog, or buy as a gift!
