“Doggies, a Counting and Barking Book” by Sandra Boynton

This one’s for the family dog-loving baby or toddler! Designed 5 ½” square, it is the proper size for those baby hands, and it’s a “board” book that will survive a little chewing and some rough handling.

The illustrations are colorful and captivating. The synonyms for barking are clever. The 10th page with 10 dogs should prompt a little chuckle, with its inclusion of one cat saying “Mrrroww!”
