“Way to Go! How to Housetrain a Dog of Any Age” by Karen B. London Ph.D. and Patricia B. McConnell Ph.D.

Review by Holly Rybinski

Anyone who loves dogs should read this book. Either youʼll use this method on your next dog, or youʼll help a friend out of a bind as they housetrain theirs. Either way, it wonʼt take you more than and hour to read and the advice is simple and sound. The book includes some key points that will give you “ah ha” moments such as why dogs tend to go back to the same spot, and why they sometimes “hold it” outside when you know they need to go. We took the authorʼs advice and taught a cue (“Get Busy!”), which weʼve been thankful for on a cold night or in a rushed situation.
