“Together, A Story of Shared Vision” by Tom Sullivan with Betty White

Review by Pam Marr Rybinski

Have some spare time when you pick up this book. It is difficult to put down! One of the authors has been blind since infancy; the other is an Emmy Award-winning actress who is well-known for her dedication to animal health and welfare. Together they create a masterpiece of interspecies friction that flirts with the end of the world for both Brenden McCarthy, an orthopedic surgeon want-to-be who takes one almost-fatal misstep while mountain climbing, and Nelson, a triple-time flunk-out dog-in-training for the blind.

Their story is well-written with brisk action and tear-jerking episodes. Caution: allow yourself spare time. This one’s a real cliff-hanger!
